On Saturday, Grace and I headed for the mountains (on the New Hampshire border) for our second annual dogsledding adventure. Ever since our very first excursion one year ago, Grace has been talking about doing it again. She remembered everything about our last trip, and was thrilled to be reunited with Corie, her favorite sled dog. We opted for a longer excursion this time — almost five hours — and were treated to a picnic lunch in the snow. The scenery was beautiful, the dogs were sweet, and my little musher stood on the back of the sled the entire time. When we got home, she immediately researched dog sled kits online, and has started saving her money for a sled of her very own (while dreaming of a dog that will pull her).
