The next best thing to having a weekend home in the mountains is having a friend with a friend with a weekend home in the mountains! We spent last weekend in Rangeley, Maine with friends and it was amazing. On Saturday we went skiing at Saddleback — actually, Grace and her friend took a 2-hour lesson, Adam snowboarded, our friends skied, and Tess and I supervised and waved from the lodge. Our determined little powerhouse named Grace did an excellent job (it was her second time on skies), and we practically had to drag her off the mountain when the day was done. I think I'm going to have to start saving my pennies for our very own weekend home in the mountains…
