To my girl Grace,
I have no idea how you got so tall, so funny, and so smart. But here you are — my first-grader, my beautiful, strong girl. My seven-year old. I feel like you're changing every day, right before my eyes.
You love to read, and in the early mornings you stay still and quiet in bed, reading until it's time for everyone else to wake up. You're curious, and you ask a lot of questions (actually, you've always been that way, but now your questions are getting harder to answer). You are enthusiastic about everything, and you're friendly to everyone. You have a huge heart and an amazing ability to make people's hearts sing — especially your sister's. You are always there for her, and you always encourage her and help her, even if it's hard for you.
You're my amazing Grace. And while I hate that you are growing up so fast, I love the person you are becoming. My kind, talented, strong and loving girl Grace.
I love you with all of my heart,
Mom
