We ventured a little further afield on Monday (a day off for all of us) and headed to Bates-Morse Mountain in Phippsburg. It's an uphill hike, and we stopped a lot to look at mushrooms, and check out tree sap, and pick up pretty leaves, and look at puddles. We were starting to think about turning around when another hiker told us we were ten minutes from the top. Boy, are we glad we kept going…

Beautiful!!! Is it close enough that we could go there? How about Cadillac Mountain…..is it close?

Was the hiker calculating in kid time or just straight on walking? Awesome view!

Daryl – He was NOT calculating in kid time, but Adam and I were about finished with stopping to smell the roses, so we managed to hike straight up the rest of the way (I carried Tess on my shoulders, which made us much faster!
Sheryl – yes, we could go there. It’s about 45 minutes away – and we could hit Seadog Brewing for a late lunch on the way back! Cadillac Mountain is NOT close.LikeLike
