Navigating the hilly terrain of motherhood

  •   This is how Tess greeted me at the end of school today. They spent a good part of the day putting together a Leprechaun play, and even made a pot of gold. Can't wait to see the final product on Monday.

  • Yesterday when I arrived to pick Tess up from school, she was all dressed up in her winter coat and boots, with her backpack on her back, looking up at me through this mask she made herself. That image is going to stay with me for a long, long time.

  • Sweet Tess has finally had her very own moment in the spotlight. Last Friday night was the Winter Concert at FSP, and all classes (K-8) performed. The Kindergartners performed a short play that had a little bit of singing, and our Tess had the starring role. She was simply adorable as the old lady and…

The big kids set up a spiral made mostly of pine boughs (and treasures such as seashells). The little kids and their…

  • Tess made an awesome Christmas tree for her babies, and put two little stockings by it. See, even the babies are excited about Christmas!

  • Tess may not be the queen of hula hooping (not yet, at least), but she can throw that monkey (named Bobo) with the best of them. I just wish you could have heard the song she was singing as she danced and tossed around poor Bobo. I also wish I had been able to catch part…

  • Tess made this it school, then came home and did a play about love. Oh, the sweetness. See how big the pink heart is on that little person? I'm pretty sure Tess's heart fills her whole body, too.
