Excuse me, but when did my firstborn become a real kid, a beautiful kid, with her own friends and her own big heart, and her own opinion about things? Tonight she is sleeping over at a friend's house. And you know what? I miss her.

Instead of doing a weekly private lesson, Grace has switched to a weekly semi-private with a friend from school. The girls ride two incredibly sweet Icelandic horses, and they've been practicing doing a row of small "jumps." This is Grace's favorite part of the week, and I must say she's pretty good at it!
