We had a really, really fun New Year's Eve over at a friend's house. The kids did an obstacle course in the snow, and we built a very nice snowman (only in Maine do the snowmen have seashell buttons!). Next we had a snowball-throwing contest, complete with a chalkboard target (genius!). Of course, we also sipped hot cocoa by an outdoor fire, then warmed up in the hot tub. And, because Grace is Grace, she got out of the hot tub a few times to make snow angels, and to hug the snowman, and to do a little happy jig in the yard.
Life in Maine is good, ayuh.
