Travelingjenny

I spent most of this afternoon trying to keep the girls out of the living room. Because if they had gone in there and looked out the window, they would have seen the lifeless body (and about a million feathers) of one of our chickens. It had been killed by an osprey, which came back periodically to feed on it. It was very cool to see a majestic bird of prey right there in our own backyard, but I really wish it hadn't gotten one of our critters. The chickens may be at the bottom of the food chain, but they're still our pets.
