Grace is still the mother hen and chief egg collector, but Tess has suddenly taken an interest in the eggs as well. I'm not sure if it's because she knows Grace loves to collect them, or if she truly finds it exciting, but she has become quite the little helper — as long as the chickens don't get too close to her!
About a week ago we started getting our first green eggs, and today for the first time, we found four eggs at once! We have eaten two entire quiches in the span of 8 days, and have now decided that it is time to start giving eggs away. That is, if we can tear them away from our very proud egg collectors.
