Grace: Mommy, I love you more than you love me.
Me: No, I don't think that's possible.
Grace: How much do you love me?
Me [Trying to come up with something different than my standard "All the way to New Zealand and back."]: I love you infinity.
Grace: What's infimity?
Me: It means that it never ends.
Grace: What about if you die?
Me: I'll still love you.
Grace: What about if the whole country dies?
Me: I'll still love you.
Grace: What about if the whole world dies?
Me: I'll still love you.
Grace: What about if the globe dies?
Me: Honey, that would never happen, but if it did, I would still love you.
Grace: Mommy, can you please not love me so much?
Me: Why not? It's good to love someone so much.
Grace: Okay – I'll tell you how much you love me. If I was you, and you wrapped your arms all the way around my head, that's how much you love me.
Me: Okay honey. [You're right – that much, plus infinity.]
