On Saturday we attended a winter event at our favorite local farm, along with Grace’s good buddy Violet and her family. The girls listened to a story and then made pinecone birdfeeders and strings of popcorn and cranberries. Afterwards, we all trekked into the woods, through the snow, to hang up our treats for the birds and squirrels. There was a bonfire, hot cocoa, and time to visit the animals in the barn. This was Tess’s favorite part – she had never before gotten so close to sheep, goats and chickens (or guinea hens!). What a perfect way to spend a beautiful winter morning!
